| | Reviewed by: Rx Phoenix, Shoots in the 80s Summary: The more you play Eagle Ridge the more you realize what a challenging course it is, in fact there isn't a single shot on the course where you can let up. I've played this course a lot and everyone I've seen out here is an accomplished golfer. It's like playing 18 straight signature holes, all very beautiful and artfully designed by Miller et. al. Precise approach shots are essential to avoid 3 putting on the multi-tiered long skinny greens. Course condition is superb. The difficulty comes from great design not from any tricked up, unfair qualities. You could play this course for many years and not get tired of it. Hole 3 Par4: (pin lower right) anything R off of tee is in the sand requiring a layup, L is out of bounds, 170Y approach: short lost in barranca, long lost in native grass, L leaves impossible 2 putt, upper tier impossible 2 putt . . . par here is extemely good. 13 Par3: (pin upper left) 3W might get to the green, short left in 10'deep bunker, right leaves tricky chip, green very severe tiers and subtle breaks . . . I've hit a lot of good shots here but only made par 2 times! One of the toughest par 3's you will ever play. Eagle Ridge could host a professional tournament, put the pins in tough locations and the course will hold up to any caliber of player. I love this course, bring your A game cause you will need it on every hole. If the 1st 17 holes don't get you, #18 will separate the men from the boys. Great finishing hole. Customer Service: With a lot of membership play here, the staff treats everyone as if they were a member, which means a sincere, relaxed, curteous, and friendly attitude. Best service I've ever experienced, and you can't miss with the restaurant food, superior quality. Marshalls very helpful and friendly. Similar Courses Played: Pasatiempo, Wente Vineyards, Hiddenbrooke, Stonetree, San Juan Oaks

| | Reviewed by: rx7foong, Shoots in the 80s Summary: my second visit which confirmed my initial thoughts. very poor tee time interval / spacing of 9 minutes resulting in turtle-like pace of 5 hrs for 18 holes. arrogant management staff. overall, while it was a good golf course, the turtle-like pace and bad customer service made for a very poor experience. probably won't care to return until management change. Customer Service: arrogant management staff (case in point, eric). website clearly says no walking on weekends but nonetheless they let some walk, which together with the 9-min interval resulted in turtle-like pace. on being confronted while flight was at 12th hole, eric said "bring back your cart now and i'll refund your cart fee"... which is probably the most ridiculous suggestion ever since it does not solve the issue, which is the slow pace of play. overall, while it was a good golf course, the turtle-like pace and bad customer service made for a very poor experience. probably won't care to return until management change.

| | Reviewed by: rich suozzo, Shoots in the 80s, from garnerville ny Summary: Golfplan, of Santa Rosa, has done many courses around the world and Eagle Ridge has incorporated many of their own unique design features. The fairways are wide and rolling with many bunkers to catch the long ball hitters and errant shots. The greens are large and undulating and fast. The course was cut out of some of the garlic fields and has houses that border the course. There are no easy holes and the course requires good shots. I would highly recommend that you get out to Eagle Ridge for a truly enjoyable and challenging round of golf. Similar Courses Played: good pro shop

| | Reviewed by: Richard Zumwalt, Shoots in the 80s, from Scotts Valley Summary: One of the best layouts in the Bay Area and every hole is memorable. Two holes on the backside were squeezed in but overall the course layout is fantastic. Customer Service: Very arrogant management. I've played there 6 times and each time there was a hassle on something; junior rates, start times and for a while they were requiring cart rental on weekends.
