| | Reviewed by: rogerk, Shoots in the 90s Summary: Very different course. One of the only links style courses I've heard of in the area. The course was in very good condition - fairways, rough, bunkers, greens, etc. The waste areas and other hazards provide take some getting used to. I believe that the course would look better if we weren't in a drought and they had water running through the burns. I purchased a Yardage Book for $6 at the pro shop and was definitely worth it as it helped in a number of places (carry over parts of burn where it runs diagonally). Playing this course the 1st time was difficult in that you didn't know where parts of the course played (10th hole). Course is flat but has undulation on fairways, etc. I would like to play this course again, but not in my regular rotation - more when I'm looking for something different to play... it's also a bit further of a drive for me as well (Orange County). Customer Service: Good. Our tee time was at 7:24, we teed off at 7:45 (they were backed up already, but it was July 3rd). When we finished, we had to rush to get our carts returned because they were out @ 12:30. While this didn't affect us, it would be annoying if we were to tee off in the afternoon. Similar Courses Played: ...nothing really like it. Eagle Glen in terms of course conditions, but the layout and style is one-of-a-kind for the area.
