| | Reviewed by: Nicole Conrardy, Shoots in the 80s, from Monarch Beach,CA Summary: The course is in the best shape that it has ever been. The greens are cut tight and the grass in the fairways are in ecellent condition. Customer Service: Enjoyed the freindly and happy faces in the proshop and the Marshals. Similar Courses Played: Food service seems to improved. The burgers are great.

| | Reviewed by: Tim Lester, Shoots in the 90s Summary: Course is a great value for the dollar, as of 3/03. Greens and course were in excellent shape. Clubhouse and restaurant are very dated, but what do you want for $35!!

| | Reviewed by: oscarlc, Shoots in the 80s, from Encino, CA Summary: Played on Sat 11/3. Typical to Orange County courses, San Juan Hills is a bit overpriced for the golf experience gained. This course is walkable and is probably a better value and playing experience during the week rather than being rushed on the weekends. Even though the course is short on yardage and not many hazards came into play, the course had a gentle layout that didn't overly penalize players for poor shots.
Played when the fairways were being overseeded and the grass was long. This made for many "first cut rough shots" even though the ball was in the center of the fairway. Customer Service: Just OK. Similar Courses Played: Driving range was just passable. Very small putting green and practice area.
