    Summary:
Built in the 1960's this course is maintained much better that it used to be when the city of roseville took care of it. Valley Crest Golf Maintenance really does a good job here. Glynne Taylor is the Superintendent and he is a veteran. They overseeded the fairways 1 or 2 years ago and they are nice and green during the winter. Diamond Oaks is a course that is nice to play during the late summer and early fall. I hate playing when it is hot. You can either hit driver on the longer holes or use a hybrid or long iron to place your tee shots. Bunkers don't really come into play unless you really suck. Fairways are well groomed, and firm. Some tees are not flat anymore because of age. The greens are poa annua, nothing new there, but they are rather small compared to some of the newer ones. Greens are kept well here. Sometimes the greenskeepers don't know how to cut a proper cup and they cut it too deep. They also mistakingly cut the cup on an unfair slope. I hate deep cups on a slope. During the summer this course is a little wet, but during the late summer early fall, the water is turned down significantly, to only mend the aerification holes that are normally done this time of year. My favorite hole is #2. With a good drive, I love the challenge of hitting a straigt 2nd shot into this par 5. This is my home course.

    Customer Service:
Friendly pro shop staff, range balls are bad. Hodge podge of balls with finger nail polish around the equator. Just replaced the DR mats this year. They have a shallow driving range. Practice green does not mimic the greens on the course. PG is on an annoying slope. PG was resodded this year because of bad spring aerification result. I wish that the PG area would be one big green.
