    Summary:
I played Hidden Valley for the first time in November of 09. Off the bat, this place is no frills golf. The clubhouse was built cheaply and the driving range is just a big hill that you hit into. The course is made up of a variety of dogleg lefts and rights. Many of your shots are blind and playing with someone who has course knowledge would be a great help. On a couple of shots, I hit perfect drives right down the fairway only to find that my ball rolled off a cliff or into a neighboring fairway. Although, the burn damage around the course makes it really easy to find your ball amongst the black ash. The economy has taken its toll on many golf courses in this area and its obvious Hidden Valley has been cutting back on water and maintenance. Most of the tee boxes are so chunked up, finding a level spot is almost impossible. A few times I hit back several feet from the markers just to find a level spot with grass. If you go during the week, bring a lunch; the snack bar is only open on weekends. I only paid forty buck for this round, (booked via click for tee times), so I guess you have to take it for what its worth. If you’re looking for great golf in this area, go over the hill to Goose Creek. If you’re looking for a cheap round of golf, give it a go.

    Summary:
This course is bascially a tourist course. Lots of elevated tee shots into narrow fairways with OB on each side. Lots of amazing views. Great course to bring a visiting friend from out-of-town.

Not necessarily a fair golfing challenge however, wouldn't ever consider a course like this a "Home Course" because there's too many holes where you can make good shots and end up with a ball O.B. because of funky design. One hole for example on the back, the first par 5 has a blind tee shot where if you drive the ball on the left side of the fairway it will funnel the ball OB......and you just hit the ball on the fairway!!!

    Customer Service:
The course Marshall is quite the piece of work. Told me I made one of the worst mistakes you can make on a golf course; what was my huge mistake? I drove too close to the green with my golf cart, about 30 feet. I probably should have been arrested, I was lucky he let me off with a warning.

    Summary:
Good course with lots of elevation changes. Even if you hit the fairway, expect some slope on your lie. Greens are challenging, and everything is well maintained most of the time. Most recent visit showed some wear and tear, probably from the heat of the summer. Some nice views, desert environment.

TEE'S,FAIRWAYS&GREENS ARE USUALLY IN GREAT SHAPE,MOIST AND SMOOTH. A GOOD READ IS NEEDED ON SOME OF THE HOLES,AND AT TIMES REAL QUICK. NO REAL TREES HERE,BUT ENOUGH RAVINES AND SHRUBS TO KEEP ANYBODY BUSY,IF THE BALL IS NOT KEPT IN PLAY.LIKE THE VARIOUS ELEVATIONS THIS COURSE HAS TO OFFER.5 DIFFERENT TEES TO PLAY FROM.CARTS ONLY;CAN'T IMAGINE WALKING THIS COURSE.SO IN SHORT,THIS IS A CHALLENGING GOLF COURSE,BUT IF YOU KEEP IT IN THE SHORT GRASS, IT WILL BE A GREAT & REWARDING ROUND.
