| | Reviewed by: Roy 1, Shoots in the 80s Summary: Played Feb. 2005. Beautiful golf course with some views of the ocean. It is of a modern design with a lot of elevation changes. The course has a number of blind holes and you would need to play the course a number of times to know where to place your ball in the fairway. Conditions are decent from teebox to green. Nothing out of this world. Has a number of very memorable holes and very worthwhile playing. If you use one of the discount books (West Coast Value book) one can play the course for $44. A good value. I wouldn't deem $80 a good value. $44 is the walking price (Discount price). Course is walkable but...a good hike. The course is not a walker friendly course especially if you have a hand cart. It is a very worthwhile course to play. A good challenge, but not unfair. Customer Service: Excellent starters and marshalling staff. Course has nice speed. Similar Courses Played: Very nice snack bar and restaurant with views.

| | Reviewed by: glenanny tatton, Shoots in the 100s, from goleta, ca, usa Summary: yes, the grass outside the fairway is vicious, but why are you off the fairway anyway? drop another ball and get on with it. this course has fantastic views that must be paid for. the driving range is at the top of the foothill above the course with a nice putting practice area. see some photos of this course in a photo album i have at http://community.webshots.com/user/ceztom
. yes, a golf cart is recommended for the hilliness, but if you are in good shape you can walk the eighteen. I live below the course and am biased and un-educated about the real range of courses available (although i have seen a few exclusive courses in Montecito), I think this course is well worth playing as often as one can afford it. Customer Service: very good, thursday dinner is open to public, snack bar makes good burger, bar and view is excellent over small lake.

| | Reviewed by: Dave Johnson, Shoot in the 70s, from Santa Barbara, Ca Summary: This course is a bit "rinky-dink." They start you off on the #1 handicap hole... 440 yds uphill, into the wind, with a blind approach... great way to get you going (**#@*#*!) It is cut into the side of a hill. There are 3 or 4 reachable par 4's off the tee, which is ridiculous if you want to be challenged. There is very thick crab grass right off the fairway, so if you are barely off the fairway your ball is lost. I've had o.k. hit balls totally disappear because it kicked a little left or right. They need to get rid of that grass! The greens are pretty nice though. Depending on the time of year, they can role. You can't really walk...the back is too hilly and the yardage markers are nowhere to be found. Their carts are equipped with a computer, which gives you ydg (rarely accurate). CART GOLF SUCKS!!! At least give us a choice... Oh, the price is way over the top. You'll pay over $80 for this pitch-and-putt. It is worth $25 MAX! Customer Service: The starters are great! They are retired gentlemen, having the times of their lives on the golf course. Similar Courses Played: range is weak... uphill. No idea what your ydg really is.
