    Summary:
Great course, fairways are in excellent shape, firm greens, very fast greens...I believe it when they say stint reading of 11.0 I dont doubt it. Some approaches you MUST leave below the hole. The staff is fantastic, treat you special. I played in Dec 2006, so all the construction is completed, clubhouse good. Driving range is lots of fun, hitting down hill...ball seems to carry along way. Driving range was mats only on the day I played.

    Summary:
The other reviews are correct, though I would go a little lower on the value proposition, perhaps.

Lot's of construction going on in the clubhouse, so it was relatively messy.

Pro shop helpful, but not overbearing.

It will sound like I am ripping on this course, but overall, I would go back and play again - much better because of newfound course knowledge.

    Customer Service:
Reserved my foursome a week ahead, then called to revise to threesome and the lady said that they didn't have my reservation in the system. She re-reserved our tee time. Recomennd that you call to confirm tee time.

    Summary:
Other courses in LA/OC should visit the Ranch to see how it should be done....course is NOT overwatered, so carts can go almost anywhere, greens are firm and do not suffer from excessive ball marks....hint the fairways and rough have the slightest bit of brown - indicating HEALTHY grass which will generate nice deep roots.....GOOD friendly service (a real rarity anywhere in So Cal golf, retail or otherwise)....valley course is still a bit young, but its on track to be as good, if not better than the mountain

Reviewed by: Ron, Shoot in the 70s, from Half Moon Bay, CA

    Summary:
There are two courses at this facility about 30 min north of Burbank, both of which are new this year. I played the Mountain course (vs the Canyon course) in late Sept. The course was relatively empty since they were limiting the amount of play (a group every 12 min or so).

Overall, the Mountain course is a very nice layout with lots of elevation changes, a few annoying blind shots and the fastest, smoothest greens I've ever played (as fast as Pebble gets, but smoother!). The starter claimed they were 10.5-11 on the Stimp meter.

This is definitely a course you need to play once or twice before you can play it well given the blind shots that can leave you with bad position or a lost ball. With no yardage book yet, this made for a somewhat frustrating round.

    Customer Service:
    All employees were extremely helpful.

Nice range and practice green facility.
