| | Reviewed by: stoppre16, Shoots in the 70s Summary: Played this course twice in the last month and I will probably never go back. Both occasions I had a tee time for around 10:30 am on a Monday morning and both times I didn't finish the first hole till after 11:30. Three group back up on most of the tees on the front nine, didn't make the turn in under 3.5 hours either time. First time the round lasted 6.5 hours, second was finished in around 6 only because two groups in front of us quit after 11 holes. Not sure if it is overbooking or what but both times I didn't see a single marshal on the course so the slow play seems to go unchecked.
The course itself is pretty nice. The greens are good quality and there are some interesting hole lay outs. Both times I only payed about $30 including cart so the pricing is reasonable. Without the slow play it would be worth playing.

| | Reviewed by: pogostud, Shoots in the 80s Summary: I have to say that I liked this course quite a bit. It's not too long, but it can be narrow, and if you have a problem hitting right (like others in my party) you will most likely end up going through quite a few balls. Many of the holes on this course can be hell for slicers, as there are hazards about 10-15 yards right of the fairway. If you hit it in these hazards, you won't find your ball, but you'll likely find another!
It gets windy in the afternoon, and that can be punishing. Many holes are sloped quite steeply. The greens were a little ravaged because people don't fix their people not fixing their ball-marks, and many sand-traps were unraked. I guess that's to be expected by public users who lack respect for the course, but otherwise, the course was in good condition in March, 2009.
I drove 3 of the par fours because of the wind at the back and relatively short lengths, and most holes are fairly short, but if you're not straight, watch out!
Play was also quite slow. Tee'd off at 3:30 and only finished 12 holes by 7ish when it got dark.
All in all, I had a good time, as did the others I played with who shot in the 100's. I would definitely recommend this course to others, especially on a clear day when the course can offer stunning views of the Foothills or if you can get a discount for the course, as it's a little pricey. Customer Service: Nice staff! Similar Courses Played: I've played several local Southern California courses and enjoyed this one quite a bit.

| | Reviewed by: keegs, Shoots in the 80s Summary: I liked this course. Nicely maintained from end to end, good grass, nicely contoured greens. Lots of elevation changes, which made it play more difficult than it looks (especially with the 20mph wind that was shifting around while I played). A good value for twilight play during the summer. NOT A WALKING COURSE!! A previous reviewer said its a typical Driver/7 Iron course, and I would agree with that in that a lot of the par 4s setup well for that distance/shot type. However, with the wind blowing when I played, driver/7iron was the exception, not the norm, as the ball found the environmental hazard (red stake) more frequently than planned :( Customer Service: Good, friendly. Similar Courses Played: serving wench at the snack bar looked about 100 years old with 50 years of accumulated make up... ugh :(

| | Reviewed by: A.S., Shoot in the 80s, from Pasadena CA Summary: This course was very difficult for me. I didnt like it very much because of the deep deep rough and the enviormental hazarda on every hole. The course was in a very good condition , but the greens were under repair so they were all sandy and slow. I guess i cant complain a lot becaue i went out for free because im in the school golf team. I got tired of walking because the layout isnt that great. You cant dee the hole if you are anywhere besides the fairway. Similar Courses Played: None

| | Reviewed by: JACK MASTERSON, Shoot in the 70s, from LAKEWOOD Summary: Great course!! I played it for the first time today and loved it...Tuff but fair..The first review said that it has bad greens but they where great today 11-09-2000.Most holes have narrow fairway's and the ruff is pretty long so you need to try to keep it in the short stuff.Great view's,on a clear day you can see the ocean and downtown L.A..Not very long,6300 or so but still very chalenging. I can not say enough about this course. Also,it is very resonably priced ..... Similar Courses Played: cart atendants are great..marshal was also very good.
