| | Reviewed by: golfwa, Shoots in the 80s Summary: though this course did have some bad reviews, i really enjoyed my experience here. sure, kapalua is better, but i dont think its fair to say that this course is worse then your local muni. my expectations were high when i played this course, and i almost met them. fairways were dry, but if they werent then you would not mget any roll and the wind made the holes play real long. still a nice course and I walked on to the beach on hole 5! Customer Service: very good, at least. they were close to perfecet and very nice and friendly. i loved i felt welcomed, and i really though this service was better then that at plantation at kapalua. compares to the bay course at kapalua, and thats saying something. Similar Courses Played: range is ok, and i love there practice green.

| | Reviewed by: Joe, Shoots in the 100s Summary: Greens were littered with broad leaf grass. I only get to golf on vacation so I am no expert, but when my lawn is better cared for there is a problem. I played both courses as I was pre-booked and staying at the Hyatt right next door.

| | Reviewed by: LR, Shoot in the 90s, from Cincinnati, OH USA Summary: I played the North course and shot 91. There were some bare patches in some of the fairways but the greens were in excellent condition. I was suprised that there was very little rough when I played. Everything was cut low.
Even though it is not right on the ocean front, there were lots of nice ocean views.
I played in the afternoon to take advantage of their reduced afternoon rates but the tradewinds made the course difficult. On the 163 yard 3rd hole, I used a 5 wood into the wind and left the ball 25 yards short of the green. Similar Courses Played: None

| | Reviewed by: Robert Suess, Shoot in the 80s, from San Jose, CA Summary: I just returned from playing Kaanapali North and South Courses. Wow, the condition of these two golf courses is outrageous! I mean BAD! Dry, Weeds, and just simply bad course maintenance. Please do not spend the money! Kaanapali is resting on a long standing reputation of excellence; please don't settle for the current, poor and down right insulting condition for play. I was forced to play because I had prebooked on the Kaanapali web sight. When you prebook, you must cancel within a 7-day advanced notice. I booked play for the first and second day of my stay. I think the prebooking deal is a bit of a scam. Please feel free to email me with any questions.
Customer Service: The internet prebooking is a scam. golf is cheaper if you use coupons which can be found in the various tourist books at the airport, car rental agencies and at the resorts. Similar Courses Played: The range is small and "on-mats" only.
