| | Reviewed by: dsebesky, Shoots in the 80s Summary: With much excitement I booked a tee time in late May to play the Palmer Course. My excitement deminished as I arrived to find the facilities minimal at best. Poor customer service upon arrival and at departure. I was expecting a fantastic experience based on the reputation of the course and PGA/LPGA venues played there. The course itself was in great shape, but only ocean views on one hole with was a strain!! I was very, very disappointed in the facilities and lack there of on the course and the personnel working at the bag drop. I actually had to ask for assistance with loading bags. Come on guys you can do better than this, especially for the price we paid to play. Would not recommend this course.

| | Reviewed by: jtui66, Shoots in the 80s Summary: Recently played the Palmer and Fazio courses at Turtle Bay. I was less than impressed with either of the golf courses especially for the price paid. I am usually totally optimistic about new layouts and the layouts are great. the upkeep and the cost of the courses in comparision to others in Hawaii was not all that. Customer Service: Customer service was fantastic. Driving range and practice facility a little weak based on the fact that you can't hit woods on the range.

| | Reviewed by: RADRM, Shoots in the 90s Summary: I played the Palmer course twice during my stay at the Turtle Bay Resort. This is a fantastic looking course. The natural beauty of the island is preserved on every hole. The course plays tough at a slope of 140 from the blues. But it plays fair also rewarding for good shots but penalizing a bad shot. There are many risk/reward type situations on most of the holes, with forced carries over water and bunkers. The wind at the north shore can be brutal so you must play low shots when possible. The greens rolled true and were in perfect shape. As were the fairways.I couldn't find a single weed in the fairways. This was by far the best golf course I have played. Customer Service: Good proshop with a very nice staff.

| | Reviewed by: WMitch6, Shoots in the 80s Summary: The Palmer course is one of my favorite Hawaii course. I play a couple of rounds there every visit to Hawaii. Always well maintained and never crowded. Can be a real challenge when the trades are up. Not especially punishing for a mid handicap but a tough course from the tips.
Played the fazio course once years ago and haven't played since. The palmer is that much better for ony a few bucks more. Customer Service: Excellent. Well stocked pro shop and probably the best course grill and bar (Lei Lei's) on the island.
