Mamala Bay GC is positioned between the two runways shared by Honolulu International and Hickham AFB.
It will be turned over to the Navy to run in the future and civilian players will have to be accompanied by a military carded individual.
We have played twice 4 years apart. It is one of the highlights of our trip to Oahu, the views, the GC and the fighters taking off vertically from time to time. Customer Service:
While we were there a player of the gentler sex came in to requested ear plugs because of the noise...I think she was pulling someone's leg. Similar Courses Played:
None...but it is very Bermuda in the rough.

This is one of the best military courses you will find. The tradewinds can make it play more difficult than it is. Rough occasionally gets a little shaggy, but generally the course is maintained very well. Greens and fairways are good. Drawback of this course is the availabity of tee times on weekends. You must submit for a lottery drawing to get a weekend tee time. Highly recommend playing this course if you visit Hawaii. Customer Service:
