| | Reviewed by: deangutz, Shoots in the 100s Summary: Spectacular views on almost every hole. The south course #15 is postcard looks down on the green (par 3, with waves breaking nearby), #16 plays with the alongside the ocean. The north course has a lot of deep lava cliffs and flows, plays up hill on the first 13 holes, but if you look back, very good views. The back 9 plays downhill towards the ocean. The north course was harder than the south. Greens are fast. Played north twice, south once. Better than Wailea... Customer Service: Very personal, they give you water bottles in a cooler in your cart! Wet towel after the round...

| | Reviewed by: Alexander Day, Shoots in the 70s, from San Diego, CA Summary: My favorite course of the three I played on Maui (makena north, wailea gold, emerald). Awesome layout, challenging, tight, fast grainy greens, elevation changes, and the views! Customer Service: fine Similar Courses Played: 78 was my score from the blues

| | Reviewed by: Y^2, Shoot in the 90s, from Honolulu, HI Summary: Played Makena North. Good track with loads of oceanviews! The course's carthpath was being re-paved in May 2001. Course knowledge is a must. Fast greens and uneven lies. The South course will be closed for about a year. Similar Courses Played: None

| | Reviewed by: Chuck, Shoot in the 90s, from Honolulu, Hawaii Summary: A beautiful course on the island of Maui, with terrific views. The fairways are green and lush, and the greens are in great condition. The course starts at sea level, then climbs up the mountain, dropping back down in a matter of two or three holes. A beautiful course. Similar Courses Played: None
