There's not much to the maintenance or design, but it's no pushover either. You've gotta hit some good shots. The grass is pasture-like, but it's absolutely a blast to get out here, in the middle of the Pacific, and play ANY course for $5.
Cavendish was built as recreation for the Scottish plantation managers who came to oversee the pineapple plantations in the early part of the century.
Right next door is The Lodge at Koele and the Greg Norman/Ted Robinson-designed Experience at Koele Golf Course. So visitors to this quiet island get two wholly opposite kinds of golf courses: top-drawer design and upkeep at the resort-style Experience; and golf local style at Cavendish.
