Reviewed by: Michael Spencer, Shoot in the 80s, from Davie, FL, USA Summary: I have played this course at least 100 times, and know it well. The course has ?recently changed hands?, and conditions have improved. In March it looked the best I had ever seen it IMHO. Unfortunately, its best conditions are not exceptional. Less than average to average would best describe the conditions of the greens, fairways and teeboxes. There are a few holes that have problems with standing water (3, 7, 14, and 18) and fairway conditions tend to reflect that. Arrowhead's greatest was its cheap cost of play. However, since ownership has ?changed? prices have been raised. As a result Arrowhead is not the value it once was in a very crowded South Florida golf market. Pace of play is painfully slow during the winter months. The winter time influx of French Canadians scouring the trees for their lost balls, slows play to a crawl. If you are in the area on vacation consider Grand Palm, Jacaranda, and Colony West. All are outstanding facilities. If you live in the area, Arrowhead is worth a play, especially diring the summer when the rates are low, and the pace of play quicker. If you are French Canadian, consider any one of the fine courses in beautiful Arizona. Customer Service: All employees are very friendly, staff is flexible with tee times. Similar Courses Played: Restaraunt facilities are a little rundown. The head teaching pro Joe is a good man and great instructor, espicially given what he charges.
