Abacoa GC is a public course located next to the FAU campus and Roger Dean Stadium in Jupiter, FL.
Very good location; just off I-95 and Donald Ross Rd. Greens fees vary depending on season of play.
The greens are usually well kept as are the tee boxes. The fairways are fairly wide. The course has a good driving range and putting green.
The bad news is that because this course is public, it gets a lot of play from all different types of players. The number of un-repaired divots and ball marks makes every shot a challenge. Several fairways run parallel so you need to pay attention. In the winter, it can be a shooting gallery, complete with slow players. The layout is about what you might expect from a municipal course with a couple of interesting holes thrown in. For the most part, the tract is plain vanilla. In the springtime, the wind is especially tough on approach shots and drives.
All in all, it's not a course that you would make a priority to play.
The clubhouse has nice a dining facility, locker rooms, bar, and pro shop. Customer Service:

A decent track with wide open fairways. The only thing that makes this course tough is that the wind in always howling because it is all open. Most of the fairways are straight and wide but well kept. There are a few tough holes that require a certain shot shape. The greens are fast but not to tough.
