| | Reviewed by: Golf Maniac 72, Scratch Golfer Summary: Living near Black Bear means i'm always there. The practice facilities are incredible.
the course has enough challenge in it for the most avid golfer. well maintained. quick greens and beautiful rolling fairways line out the cours. lots of blind shots tho.
now starting bout a month ago new management has come in.
green fees are fairly reasonable. rather pay @ country club of mount dora.

| | Reviewed by: hatter14, Shoots in the 70s Summary: Having played most courses in the Central Florida area, Black Bear is by far the most challenging. It's a phenomenal layout that can lead to good scores, but at the same time, can be outrageously difficult if you're not striking the ball well. Just a perfect course.

| | Reviewed by: Bill Moore, Shoot in the 70s, from Clermont, FL, Lake Summary: Overall, this is a well maintained facility. It is a true "skills" test of golf. My big complaint is the fact that most of the greens are elevated on mounds. This would be fine if the greens were soft, but they are not. You have to put some serious spin on a ball to hold it. The greens are usually fast.
