    Summary:
Not so fast with the "5" there hoss.

Although this is a decent value, and a great place to take the kids or wife who are learning to play, this is NOT a 5 of 5 rating course by any means. Poor practice green, no range, greens are bumpy and inconsistent. We finally quit playing there, because it was messing up our putting stroke.

Nothing against the place, the staff is friendly, and you can ALWAYS get a tee time, but I just couldn't stand idly by and allow this course to have the same rating as Augusta National, or even Cateechee. It's fun, and inexpensive, but it is what it is. And mostly, it ain't what it ain't.

    Customer Service:
Excellent. And the Hot Dogs are FANTASTICO!

Reviewed by: GolfDawg, Shoots in the 90s, from Lawrenceville, GA

    Summary:
This is a very nice course, and an excellent value for the money.

The front nine is very straightforward, with a lot of uphills and downhills. It's great exercise if playing nine holes after work. All portions of your game should get a workout. The views from the top of the biggest hill (1st green, 9th tee, 8th green, 5th tee) are outstanding.

The back nine (the older part) is very nice. Granite outcroppings from the ground (same chunk of rock as Stone Mountain to the west) help provide beautiful views, as well as challenging boundaries. Some holes go over water, adding to the challenge, and the back nine has more doglegs than the front nine. Three par-5s on the back nine add to the physical challenge of this course.

The only negative is the lack of a driving range, which seems to be under construction in perpetuity. The warm-up green is not in very good condition, either. But new parking has been added, and work is being done to improve areas of the course.

    Customer Service:
    people are friendly and helpful
