Ten of the 18 holes are located next to the water and offer some of the best views of any golf course. Fairways are a bit narrow but offer great rewards for those willing to take risks. Greens are generally fast and in general good shape but in heat of summer they do become grainy. Overall, this is one of the best courses in the South and without a doubt one of the most scenic. It is a bit remote for most as is Elberton, GA in general. It is almost 140 miles from metro Atlanta and there is not much in Elberton but those willing to travel it offers one of the best outings period. Also, the park offers cabins and a "stay & play" package that is very reasonable. Go every couple of weeks. Similar Courses Played: Cateechee, University of Georgia, Kiawah Ocean Course, Kinderlou CC of Valdosta GA, Double Oaks of Commerce, GA
