| | Reviewed by: aabbcc, Shoots in the 90s Summary: This course is a test to your accuracy The fairways are reasonably tight, sand traps are strategically placed and water is virtually everywhere. The greens putt true and are moderately fast during the summer months. Don't attempt to walk this course unless you run marathons on the side. You WILL enjoy this course, unless you run into an alligator on number 3. Customer Service: Snack bar, pro shop and course personnel are very friendly Similar Courses Played: castle bay

| | Reviewed by: Lemonhead, Shoots in the 80s Summary: Played just before Christmas. Course was in excellent shape. The apartment construction project on the back 9 is almost complete. Greens were in fantastic condition and the fairways were very nice. A couple of places could have stood to have had the leaf blower make a pass by, but playing in Decemeber in Wilmington is basically playing in the fall (winter usually arrives for 6 weeks in Mid January).
Fairways are tighter than some courses in the area. I like that, although my playing partner prefers more open fairways. Customer Service: Very nice people at the pro shop Similar Courses Played: The Cape, Echo Farms, Castle Bay, Magnolia Greens.

| | Reviewed by: Scott Snyder, Shoot in the 80s, from Wilmington, NC Summary: This course is often overlooked. It has had some management problems in the last several years and has failed to bring in the golf consumer from up north, nor the local Wilmington and surrounding area golfers who head off into SC or choose Magnolia Greens. Because of this you will often find it easy to get a tee time, and have un-crowded conditions. It offers well groomed fairways, with very playable rough. The greens are usually in good shape and even the middle handicap golfer finds it possible to stick high-iron shots on the green. There are several nice views around the marsh and waterway. Water provides your biggest hazard. Weekly fees make this a great addition to a travel week of golf, or an uncrowded easy commute for the Wilmington area golfers. A cart is a must, no walking. Customer Service: The staff is friendly and accomodating. Very mellow vibe. Similar Courses Played: Pro Shop is average.
