Reviewed by: leonard bradie, Shoot in the 90s, from richmond Summary: Lots of history here. 2 great designers, and Sam Snead won the P.G.A. championship on this very course in the 40's when it was Hermitage Country Club. Good price, easy to walk, conditioning is fine considering price. Good variety of holes. Nice people working here, not lined by houses, tho a few holes are, and number 2 is lined by a trailer park which is full of people who play at the Crossings. Speaking of, last time I played there I was paired with 3 guys who play daily at the Crossings, but couldn't play there on this particular day due to installation of cigar lighters in the fairways every 6 feet. They were odd, they filled in theirt whole scorecard on the first tee while we waited to hit[all shot 74 for handicap purposes]. It wasn't that they couldn't play, tho they couldn't, I was just amazed how slow they were, how they lied about their score, and how they kept dissappearing into the woods and coming out with red raw lips and tucking their "The Crossings" shirts back in. Customer Service: Nice folks, seem to prefer you live in Henrico County tho. Similar Courses Played: No range, nice help tho, and good practice green, chipping area
