Reviewed by: jwb0507, Shoots in the 80s

    Summary:
This USED to be my favorite course. It is an easy day for sure with FANTASTIC views of the Va mountains. Its too bad the management doesn't know what its doing. I called for a tee time a week in advance, called back to confirm the day before, yet they didn't have us down when we showed up! Then they made us wait 90 minutes to tee off even though the first tee on one of the 9 hole courses was open for at least 30 min. I asked TWICE to get on that course but the ranger had 'his rules' that he stuck to regardless of common sense. My playing partner put it best when he said, "They have an overinflated sense of importance here." They don't realize for the same money I can play equally as good, if not better, courses in this area. Its a shame such a beautiful and fun course is not managed with any common sense.

This all occurred 4 months ago and I have had a chance to cool off about it and I still feel they need manage their course better.

    Customer Service:
clueless, brainless, gutless, heartless, senseless, and generally ignorant in how to schedule tee times and manage a course. The ranger was slower than Forrest Gump at a MENSA picnic.

    Similar Courses Played:
Packsaddle, Ingleside, Heritage Oaks, Spotswood, Massenutten, Gypsy Hill, Staunton CC, Green Hills, Bryce.

    Summary:
    This course is wide open.
If you like hitting the big stick then this is the place
    for you.
The greens are small and undulating, as the only real
    challenge, they need to be.
Sand nor water really come into play, making it a fast
course to play. A course that is fun after a tight
driving course, a chance to unwind and let the big dog
    eat.

The pro shop is a very pleasant experience.
