    Summary:
This is a nice place to play golf. Fairly challenging, with a few easy holes, several risk reward shots, and pretty nice greens. This was my second trip to Marksville and I enjoyed the golf both times.

    Customer Service:
Very good service. Reception was well manned, on course service was frequent, pro shop was friendly. They also have a great deal if you play on Fri, you get a rain check for another round. I was surprised I could use it to play Sat. Very nice deal.

    Summary:
Very nice course. Plenty of sand traps in fairways and around greens. Greens took a while for me to pick up as there was a lot of undulations. Once I figured them out I scored a lot better. From black tees, a very long 650yd test of golf. Much easier for high handicapper or older golfers from Brown tees at 5900 yds. One the course I really could not find anything to complain about. I played during Dec 2006 and at the end of the week. Even played 36 on Fri. Carts were new and had build in GPS. Very helpful. I highly recommend if you are in the area give the course a try.

    Customer Service:
Very good, tho no one was waiting when I got to the front door on Thurs. I dropped clubs, parked and went to pro shop. Once they knew I was there it was first class service. Had lunch between rounds on Fri and it was great. Large ham sandwich, with chips and drink, $4. Excellent deal. Overall it was a great experience.

    Similar Courses Played:
I played Koasati Pines at Coushatta. Both are casino courses. While Koasati Pines had the feel of a resort like course, I really couldn't tell much differnce between the play of the two, tho the greens were much faster at Koasati. There was a pretty significant difference in cost, as Tamahka was about 1/2 the cost, but both were very reasonable.
