| | Reviewed by: gwd7727, Shoots in the 80s Summary: Very good course. Pace of greens got my attention right off the bat. Practice facilities were first class. Practice greens were true to those on the course. Plenty of sand and water, tho a decent day driving will keep you out of trouble. Approach shots on several holes had to carry water making club selection essential. I found it very playable from the 6200 yd Whites. Even had a shot at #10 par 5 in 2. I highly recommend the course if you are in the area. Customer Service: Very good, cart with my name on it was waiting for me when I arrived. I was a single in the middle of the week so started offered to let me start on back. Nice concession as I played at a pace that let me learn the course. Both days finished in less than 3 hrs. Overall it was a great experience. One interesting note, I finished Tues around 4pm and club house and grill room were closed. Probably not a big deal and I assume it was due to winter play. But I thought it worth noting.
Similar Courses Played: I played Tamahka Hills at Marksville. Both are casino courses. Koasati Pines had the feel of a resort like course and club house, but I really couldn't tell much differnce between the play of the two, tho the greens were much faster at Koasati. There was a pretty significant difference in cost, as Tamahka was about 1/2 the cost, but both were very reasonable. But I really wouldn't rate one that much better than the other. Both very enjoyable.
