| | Reviewed by: Kenneth Chandler, Shoot in the 70s, from Shreveport, LA, USA Summary: Northwood is really 2 courses, the front 9 which is about 35 or so years old, and the back nine which is about 15 years old. The front nine is tight and kind of old-fashioned with turtle back greens, lots of water hazards, but not a lot of sand. The back nine is a well-designed modern layout with sand, water, and undulating greens. Course conditioning has improved a lot lately but is still somewhat lacking just off the fairways on the back where it tends to be rocky. High handicappers need a lot of extra balls. Hal Sutton played a lot here growing up. A good course and worth playing. Similar Courses Played: Restaurant and pool are mediocre, driving range is not good
