Reviewed by: Patrick Chase, Shoots in the 90s, from Rogersville MO , USA

    Summary:
For a course oporated by the city parks board this facility is the best i have ever seen.even better than the courses found on military installations. It has red, white, blue and even black tee boxes. there are a lot of water hazards and lots of large deep bunkers. the greens are nowhere near what i would call "flat" they have a lot of breaks and rolls all over them. If you get thirsty in the humid missouri summer air, do not despair because a drinkgirl will be around regularly with a cart full of refreshments. The green fees include cart rental and the last time I was there they had a plethorah of both gas and electric carts.I have heard good things about the Connie Morris golf school located on the grounds and the clubhouse and snackbar are also nice as well.

    Customer Service:
Excellentt so far. I have no complaints

Reviewed by: Rick, Shoot in the 80s, from Crystal City, Mo

    Summary:
Maintenence was outstanding, you will not believe this is a city run facility.
Tee Boxes, Fairways, and Greens are incredibly well maintained. You will think you are playing an upscale county club when you tee it up.
Course is challenging, design and layout of each hole provides a great view from the tee box to green.
You will have an opportunity to hit all your clubs.
The staff is friendly and helpful.
Wish it were near me and memberships were available.

    Customer Service:
Everyone in the pro shop was friendly. I was only going to play 9 holes and was sent off the back where I was immediately asked to join two gentlemen who had just hit their drives. Ken and Rob? Both work at the club and Ken I believe is the superintendent.

Reviewed by: Brad, Shoot in the 70s, from St. Louis, MO, USA

    Summary:
I played this course soon after it opened. Was I impressed! for ~$35 w/cart this was price and quality I'm not used to seeing being from St. Louis. This course is $60 minimum in St. Louis

    - All fairways are sodded with zoysia (the best choice for Missouri)
    - Bunkered are deep and very much in play. Try to avoid them.
    - entire course including score card is marked well.
    - tee boxes are numorous and excellent
    - The scenery is very clean and beautiful with lots of big oaks and creeks
    - The greens are excellent and can be tough.
    - This course is pretty tough, 90's or worse golfers will get beat up. I did not lose to many balls, but I did lose strokes.

Great course, Springfield area needed a public course of this quality. I can't wait to play it again.

    Summary:
This is a public course that exceeds almost every other course I have played on. It is tournament quality.

Fairways - All zoysia in great condition, plays long with many challenges

Greens - The only part of the course that says public.people do not repair their divots

Service/Clubhouse - Frank Lloyd Wright Praire Home style, beautifully done. Service was above average,
