| | Reviewed by: bob , Shoots in the 80s Summary: Deer Lake is usaually in very nice shape. The fairways are bermuda and the greens are bent. The greens are large and putt very true. Each cart is equiped with a yardage book and 100, 150, and 200 yard markers are on most of the par 4's and all the par 5's.
The front nine is pretty straight forward except for number 5 which can be a tricky tee shot.
The back nine requries a little more thought off the tee box. Number 12, 14 and 15 may not be the best hole for driver. Number 15 has a sink hole as a hazard on the right hand side of the fairway that is about 70 to 80 feet deep. In my many rounds at Deer Lake I have reached 2 of the 4 par fives in 2. The most difficult stretch of holes would be 13, 14 and 15. 13 is the longest par 5 on the course with a tree to the left front of the green. 14 and 15 are tight driving holes. Number 18 is an uphill par 4 that is pretty difficult to par after 17 holes of relatively testing golf. Customer Service: Acceptable but nothing to get excited about.
