| | Reviewed by: CJ, Shoot in the 80s, from Kingsport, TN Summary: This is a pretty nice layout. The front nine is wide open links style, while the back is basically a mountain course. The course is well-maintained, greens are in very good condition, tee boxes are in good shape.
The greens don't have alot of tiers, but they have many subtle breaks and are fairly fast. Fairways are generally generous with few doglegs and no true blind teeshots. Similar Courses Played: None

| | Reviewed by: Moose, Shoot in the 70s, from Johnson City, TN Summary: Just take I-181 north off exit 58 or 59 of I-81. Cattails is off exit 51 of I-181. Long par fours, very challenging. Great bermuda fairways. The rough has not filled in in some places and there is not a lot of trouble, but the greens look deceptively small on many of the holes which leads to indecision on this windy course. Fast greens. This is a great golf course, and it is not gimmicky like so many courses I see. I cannot stand a course where there is alot of hidden trouble off the tee. You should play the back tees only if you are very long off the tee. Hide your beer in your bag because they do not allow outside coolers. Customer Service: Very friendly staff. No outside coolers allowed. Similar Courses Played: None
