Summary:
I played the Scotland & Ireland courses. There is also an England course. This links-style course is both fun and challenging. The staff was friendly and clubhouse state-of-art. The fairways are rolling with uneven lies and the rough is deep native grass. There are many bunkers in the fairways and around the greens; some of the bunkers are deep and actually have steps or ladders to climb into (modeled after Scottish courses). Many of the greens are also elevated and guarded by bunkers all around, requiring you to spin the ball to stop it. The greens were medium speed, all were sloped and in excellent shape. The wind definitely increases the challenge! I would love to play this course again if I ever visit the Galveston, TX area again.
